Indian Air Force received total of 26 Rafale 4.5 gen fighter aircraft since last year. And on 28th Jul 2021, the IAF Chief ACM RKS Bhaudaria inducted it in the 101 Squadron of Eastern Air Command.
After a year of receiving the first batch of Rafale fighter aircraft, the Indian Air force has now formally inducted it in strategically important 101 Squadron of Eastern Air Command at the Hasimora Air Station in West Bengal. During the event, the Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria was present. This induction is of utmost importance because of ongoing tensions with the eastern neighbor China.
Till now IAF has received 26 of total 36 Rafales. Last year, first batch was inducted into the ‘Golden Arrows’ squadron. The induction saw a fly-past by the Rafales and afterwards the fighter jets received famous ‘Water Cannon Salute’.
