Tata Motors in 2020 Auto Expo had revealed its micro-SUV concept car in the Auto Expo-2020.Which gave the idea that the Tata HBX will definitely be going to give a tough competition to already settled Ignis & Micro SUV’s like KUV100 etc.
- Tata HBX is expected to be launched in Oct 2020 at an expected price of INR 5 Lakh.
- It will come in petrol variant only as it is not announced till date.
- It is based on H2X concept that was displayed at Geneva Motor show , last year.
- It will be a sub 4 metre SUV as shown in Auto Expo 2020.
“The tragic2020” this is how we know the current year till now.But, finally, there is some good news for car lovers.The Tata Motors has been working on developing a micro SUV since long and this time they came out with the sub-4 metre micro SUV, Tata HBX.
Tata Motors has confirmed that it is not an actual production car but has similarities up to 90%.The HBX is built on Tata Motors’ new ALFA platform. This sub-4 meter micro SUV is ready to arrive in the market anytime soon in the financial year of 2020-21 with an estimated price of INR 5 lakh.Although, many portals have reported that the launch is expected in Oct 2020.
This sub-4 metre micro SUV is quite jacked in size which gives it a sporty-bulky look, though actually small in size. It is going to be a tough contender in the range of micro-SUV and will able to knock down some of the biggest rivals in the market like Ford Freestyle, Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
What we know so far ?
Due to its unique design, it is rumoured to be also called as Hornbill. This micro-SUV is powered with the BS6 compliant version of Tiago’s 1.2-litre Riverton petrol engine with displacement of 1198 cc.It provides maximum power of 83PS & a maximum torque of 114Nm.
Tata Micro SUV will come with the split headlamp setup, in which the primary lights situated below and the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) placed just above it, closer to the front grille. The micro SUV concept withal came with floating style roof with roof rack, and at the rear, the SUV comes with small tail lamps along with Tri-Arrow design LED guide lights, a sculpted tailgate and a faux skid plate. Tata has verbally expressed that the HBX will offer best-in-class connectivity features integrated with the highly capable infotainment system.
Tata HBX sub-4 metre micro SUV is jacked in size which gives it a sporty look. It is taller and larger than many other micro-SUVs. The incipient HBX concept gives it a decent interior with more legroom, space and comfort. The front seats seem sizeably voluminous, while the rear seats appear to have enough space to occupy three full-grown humans in decent comfort.
